THESE CROOKED FINGERS ORCHESTRA is made up of the next generation of London’s finest players, handpicked from the Royal Academy of Music, the Royal College of Music and Trinity Laban. From the beginning we set out to find exceptional young talent — musicians who bring both technical brilliance and a genuine love for the work. Over time that shared spirit has grown into something more than a working relationship. There’s a real camaraderie here, and it shows in everything we make together.

The orchestra is available for recording sessions, concerts and tours — and as the in-house ensemble of These Crooked Fingers, they sit at the heart of everything we create. Having our players embedded within the collective means the creative conversation never stops. Composers, arrangers and performers working in the same world, pushing each other toward something genuinely new.

That environment produces work with a cutting edge that’s hard to manufacture from the outside. Score Sessions — our live concert series where emerging film composers write and perform original scores from scratch — is perhaps the clearest expression of what happens when that creative culture is given a stage.
